Assurance Guaranteed --- Malachi 3

A Tithe is assurance that my possessions are well protected. God’s promise is my guarantee. God will rebuke the devourer on my behalf. It's ignorance to make money just to lose it. When I put God first with everything and in everything, He promises to watch over all that I have. The property, gifts, talents and skills God has graced me with are gifts that bring wealth into my life. They are guaranteed to be protected when I tithe. My Tithe is my assurance. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Reason #2: Asset Growth --- Luke 6:38

Because I’m smart in matters of my money, I’m always looking for ways to make my money grow such as taking advantage of stock portfolios, whole life insurance policies, mutual funds, real estate opportunities, or business ventures. I work hard for my money, and I want my money to work just as hard for me. If an Asset Management Company guarantees a 10%-15% return on my investment, its wise to take the opportunity. That opportunity requires faith.

Likewise, God says, “Return to Me your Tithe- and I will return it to you 100, 60, or 30 times what you’ve given.” If Warren Buffet offered you a 60% increase on your investment, you’d be a fool not to take it. The Question is: do you have Faith in God? Do you believe that you’ll receive a return on what you give / sow into His Kingdom? I sow in faith believing that every asset I have invested in God’s Kingdom will grow. That’s why I am a Tither.

Reason #3: Purposed Assignment

I am a Christian and part of that is my commitment to growing in Christ. After salvation, part of the transformation is that God is able to trust me with assignments. I recognize that part of my assignment is to reflect the principals of the Kingdom in every area of my life. I’m a tither because I want God’s Kingdom to advance, and it starts with me. I want my church to be a reflection of my sacrifice. When someone looks at my life, my bank statements, and tax returns, they will see that I have returned to God what is His and have given a portion of my personal wealth to the Kingdom of God. I give with purpose, because of purpose and on purpose.

• My tithe is a priority in my life. It comes first.

• I’m committed to return a percentage of my money back to God. 10% is a good starting point.

• I give progressively. I’ve learned to give God 10% and more, because I realize God has given me what I’ve asked for and much more.

• I give when God prompts me to give. At times God moves me to give a special gift. 1 John 3:17
